Hi everyone this is CE-Fitness first blog! My name is Jay Scott owner and founder of CE-Fitness, which offers Lexington’s Finest Personal Training. I am truly hoping to make this blog something you come back to again and again for information regarding health and fitness. Anything and everything that I feel is relevant to someone wanting to learn about how to look and feel better will be in this blog! Nothing is off limits!
The purpose of this blog is to help everyone in regards to their goals…in fact that is the goal of my entire business. Everyone’s goals are as individual as our fingerprints. Whether your goal is to drop 5lbs. of fat or end up looking like Rocky Balboa(minus the swollen face) knowledge of fitness can take you there. It all starts with one step, and if you are reading this blog you’ve taken that step whether you know it or not!
Fitness takes determination as well as motivation in order to be successful. Above all though fitness requires education, and that is what this blog is all about! Honestly if you don’t know how to do something then how are you going to be able to do it?!? Learning the correct steps to take is the first priority, only then can the motivation and determination take you where you want to go.
So now that that is out of the way, lets get to some tips that will help you in the fitness education department! These are a few things you can incorporate today to start making progress in your fitness level.
1. Get out and move – This one has been beaten to death but it really is important to get out and do something physical a few times a week. Find a way to fit exercise into your lifestyle. Take up a sport, take the dog for a walk, what you do is totally your decision. Make sure to dedicate 2-3 hours a week to physical activity and I guarantee your looks, mood, and self-confidence will improve. Pretty good investment if you ask me!

2. Eat smaller portions – This is another one you’ve heard time and time again. It has a lot of merit though, because our bodies can only use so many calories at a time. Reducing portions and increasing meal frequency can work wonders for the way you look and feel.
3. Avoid Stress – This one is easier said than done because most people fall into the category of “emotional eaters.” If you can break the habit of associating food with stress relief then you have taken a major step towards less calories consumed at the end of the day. Eating when under stress just sets you up for more stress later…usually in the dressing room when trying on clothes!
Alright that’s it for this blog! I hope you enjoyed it. This is the first but most certainly not the last! Check back often to see whats new on the CE-Fitness blog. Here’s to a healthy and fit summer!
Yours in Health,
Jay Scott
